So we kick GOD out of our schools; we try to remove him from the Pledge of Allegiance; ignore GOD in many of our public policies; and now they turn to GOD to pray for rain!

Would you prefer they not pray?

I remember the drought of 2007, when Gov. Perdue asked everyone to pray, and God sent the rain! Following his lead, the governor of Alabama set aside a week of prayer, and the rains came.

The problem is not that people pray, the problem as that as soon as God shows mercy to them, they turn their backs on him once again.

      Karen,
I agree with you and believe in prayer and God. My comment is reflective of people saying there is no God, then when in need, turning to God for help. I know God will appreciate and accept their prayers, but the people then go back to “ignoring” God until the next crisis.
