I agree with the taxi drivers in that they are getting screwed because they had to purchase expensive medallions in order to drive. Now they need to develop and publicize apps similar to Uber and Lyft to gain back share of the market. I would much rather ride with a vetted cab driver than some unvetted lunatic driving for Uber/Lyft.
