The bizarre thing about this story is that the agent not only did something really stupid in setting up a ALF as a HO policy, but the difference in the premium was a measly $1500+ dollars to write in correctly. Was that worth your career in the insurance business?

Hmm, did this agent pass a licensing exam or is he just a crook? Probably had no ethics training either.

Ethics training is one of the most basic continuing education requirements. So she certainly would have had ethics training. The question is, did she understand that it was to be used for this purpose? ALF are usually in homes so it could be a case of the insured lying to the agent. Only time will tell.

What carrier would write a HO on an Assisted Living Center? Inquiring minds want to know.
