Glad he lost. The conspiracy nuts in this country are scary and dangerous people.

      True story. What a nut!

Conspiracy nuts can never answer one simple question:

How do you get the dozens of people involved in even a “minor” conspiracy such as this to stay quiet, much less than hundreds or thousands that would be needed to pull off a HUGE conspiracy like 9/11.

How do you make families, coroners, police officers, teachers, administrators, etc all complicit and quiet?

People who believe this nonsense are largely the same that don’t use logic in other parts of their lives, however, so it is understandable that they latch onto this nonsense.

It’s truly scary, Doug. If you ever get some time, go to the person’s website referenced loosely in my username and check out some of the articles. Even better, read the comments in some of the articles on the site. You’ll be amazed, but probably not surprised.

Yes, Alex Jones is a nut and our president admires and believes this guy. He’s the one who has called shootings, such as this very one, false flags. When Jennifer Lawrence finds her opportunity to chuck her martini, I hope this guy is standing close by.

The video of him melting down and chasing people in the streets, intimidating them and threatening them until someone pours coffee on his head is pretty great.

          alexjonesisakook,
Did you see the latest viral rant when Alex Jones is interrogating Amazon’s Alexa? He is advocating Echo is a device manufactured by the CIA to spy on the lives in the homes in which it inhabits. I like how Colbert put it, “Artificial intelligence meets natural stupidity.”

Haven’t seen it, but I’ll look into it. I check his website fairly regularly to have some awareness of the latest theories. I saw one where they’re still debating the validity of Obama’s birth certificate. The comments section was horrendous.

It’s not Alex Jones that scares me as much as his followers who take him literally.

Great decision. Lawsuit was a big waste of time. Even the captured aliens our government is holding in New Mexico applaud this decision.
Stating our Great President TRUMP admires Alex Jones denigrates anything you say, Cap’n.

Rosie O’Donnell said GW deliberately brought down the twin towers on 9/11. She also promised to move out of the country if Trump won. Another huge lie. Obama said the biggest whopper that you could keep your Health Insurance and the premiums would reduce by $2,500 for a typical family. By the way, using the NY Times article on information is a bit much. They lead all newspapers in lies and fabrications.

InsuranceJournal officially has the worst moderation ever. Why leave this comment and delete mine which directly refutes this comment? I understand deleting them both or not at all, but not this.

As we have stated numerous times, we don’t have the resources or desire to monitor or moderate comments every minute. We prefer this to be a self-policing section and with the exception of a few people and spammers, it is. This is nobody’s personal blog. We get complaints from other readers about the handful of people who think this is the place to engage in political lectures, personal insults and off-topic harangues. Following someone else down this path to even the score or refute a claim is no excuse. Just let them go, please. We delete a few comments here that do not relate to the article or that are personal attacks, obscene rants or sales pitches but we make no attempt or promise to get rid of every inappropriate comment. Yes, this can result in the deletion of some comments that relate to others and the breaking of personal strings but that’s the way it is. We sincerely appreciate the cooperation and reasonableness of the vast majority of our readers.

There is a problem inherent in execution when you leave garbage like Sandy Hook truther posts on here.

You choose to moderate sensible arguments all the time, but leave the most asinine crazy stuff possible. One has to wonder if you guys believe that nonsense and support things like birtherism, climate change denial, truther movements, and so on.

Nobody disputes that insurance is a conservative industry by nature, but the conservatism I grew up with didn’t believe in nutjob conspiracy theories, refuting scientific consensus, and other anti-intellectual garbage. Your “pick and choose” moderation is worse than no moderation at all because you routinely delete posts that have facts, logic and reason which are responding to absolutely asinine fairy tales pretending to be reason and truth.

So, what happens? The board ends up full of troll posts by Agent, yogi, and others who refute logic for whatever the talking box tells them to believe.

When you told me a few months ago that nobody bought the crap that these same trolls posted and it was best to let them be, I took you at face value, but I can only believe now that you are grossly mistaken or 100% disingenuous. By all means, keep conspiracy theory posts around.

I am out of here. The trolls won, I suppose. Our industry can continue to be represented by idiots and sycophants.

Sorry to hear. What you apparently won’t accept is that we do not have the resources to patrol all comments. Contrary to your claim, we do not moderate arguments all the time. You can wonder all you want what we actually think but we have no responsibility for what posters post and we do not endorse any comments, regardless of their point of view. Posters are also not representative of the industry in any way. They speak for themselves only. Most people understand that.

            Doug–

I hope you’ll reconsider leaving the comments section. You serve as a balance to the extremists you reference. Just don’t engage them, it doesn’t work. The more effort you make to call them out on their BS, the more they like it. Such is the nature of bullies: they can dish it out but can’t take it and run away crying when you dare to fight back. Just post what you want to post and ignore the nuts.

They’ve proven over and over they’re biased, specifically this guy. There’s no point worrying about it. He mocked people who were threatened, they delete lefty comments nonstop and Agent, Yogi and Bob can essentially do whatever they want. People made a pretty good case Yogi is associated with the site. Just laugh at them and move on. Even in the thread where they were defending white supremacy and murdering liberal protesters instead of suspending them or deleting comments they just got rid of the story. Racism, hate speech and personal insults against liberals are accepted and endorsed by the site. Yogi insults people nearly every post without consequences while replies to him are deleted or result in bans. That is on top of the incompetent editing they do to 3rd party stories

Yeah, I’ll show that to my coworker’s husband, who was renting a room from one of the families whose child didn’t come home that day, along with many others. Tell those families that their children aren’t actually dead and that it was all just a hoax to advance an anti-gun agenda.

You’re absolutely sick if you believe even a second of any of that.

Now an entire town of Sandy Hook, CT is complicit in the cover-up. Surely the town would KNOW if a school was vacant?

This is the worst kind of conspiracy, because you are insulting the lives that were lost.

this one particularly hits close to home for me. I lived in Newtown briefly in the early ’80’s and attended Kindergarten at Sandy Hook Elementary.

The FBI, that’s the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the premier crime investigation organization in the world, *Documented and Declared* in their crime statistics for 2012, that absolutely no one was murdered in Sandy Hook that year. There is no hope for the thundering sheep herd.
