    “……………Beautiful Clean Coal….”

It is hard to think of any good reason for using Clean Coal

    1. Natural Gas price is at record lows and it burns cleaner
    2. Nuclear Power Plants produce less pollution
    3. Solar Energy, Wind, Hydro Electric

That’s the trick. All other forms of fuel are either:

      B)Cheaper/More Profitable
      C)A combination of the two.

There is no reason to subject workers to dangerous coal mines where if it isn’t a cave-in that gets them, its black lung or mesothelioma, or being left to their own devices as mines shut down and greedy owners provide little in the way of retirement benefits.

These people are screwed by the situation they live in, but also by their attitudes. One report I saw a few months back showed that, during the Obama presidency, a program was offered to coal miners that offered to pay to retrain them to other lines of work, and almost none of the miners took advantage of it. So, as plants shut down, and emphasis and infrastructure spending continues to increase for more profitable, cleaner types of energy, these people will be further left in the past.
