I don’t understand why all of these cases are not prosecuted. I helped an agency owner who’s manager stole over $100,000 in premiums he collected, provided fake certificates of insurance to the business owners (some of whom had minor claims that he also paid). The thief was not only not arrested but I was sued for libel and my insurance company (Travelers) paid the thief! District attorney had over 2 file cabinets full of documentation and yet no prosecution. These criminals are a blight to our industry & each & every one needs to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
60K that aint nothing… must have been a crappy fraudulent agent.
We’ve got one up here in Michigan who has a franchise system that is literally stealing millions of dollars a year, the State just Fined 8 of the franchised agencies 125K and some suspensions, and yet this organization is pulling in $1,000,000+ a month or more for the last decade, and is at this moment taking money from low income / high risk auto insurance consumers for a worthless seven day policy…
So if you think FL is bad, come on up to the mid west where it seems if you have enough cash you can buy a license to steal from the State of Michigan.
