I guess I need to sue the state since I am required under federal law to have health insurance coverage and the PIP requirement in Florida provides absolutely no benefit when I comply with the federal law. It actually increases my maximum out of pocket expense on my health insurance policy while denying me much needed lost income benefits.

So get Uninsured motorist if you’re worried about lost income.

Careful grasping for those straws, PIP doesn’t provide coverage strained wrists either.

Not trying to be contentious here but are you required to have health insurance under federal law? It’s my understanding there’s no penalty. Seems like it’s your choice. Of course, if you don’t have insurance and something happens the emergency room can’t refuse you. I’m not a fan of PIP, but for some people the PIP coverage is all they have available when they get in an accident.
