Foremost Extends Premium Deadlines for New Mexico Fire Victims

While continuing to monitor the disaster situation in New Mexico, the companies of Foremost Insurance Group is extending premium payment deadlines to customers living in Rio Arriba, Los Alamos, Sandoval and Santa Fe counties that have bills due between May 8 and June 26, 2000.

According to Cindy McLane, vice president of underwriting, disasters often restrict basic services in an area and therefore many people may be unable to get their mail. The company has taken similar measures following other catastrophes and natural disasters–such as hurricanes, floods and ice storms–where they knew customers had been displaced. In addition, several other insurers have pledged the same extension.

The Foremost Insurance Group includes Foremost Insurance Company, Foremost Signature Insurance Company, Foremost Property and Casualty Insurance Company, American Federation Insurance Company, and Foremost Lloyds of Texas and Foremost County Mutual Insurance Company, which conduct business in Texas only under a management agreement. The Foremost Companies are members of the Farmers Insurance Group of Companies.
