Insuring The Children to Host 8th Annual Golf Tournament

Insuring the Children (ITC) is holding its Eighth Annual Golf Tournament on Oct. 15 at Dove Canyon Golf Course in Newport Crest, Calif. According Chairman Bill DeMeulle, everyone is invited to participate in this annual fund-raising event.

DeMeulle said that 95 percent of all proceeds from this tournament go directly to child abuse prevention and emergency care programs.

ITC is a nonprofit organization created by insurance industry leaders with the goal of supporting child abuse prevention programs and raising awareness of child abuse and neglect. In the past, tournament proceeds have benefited such organizations as The Orange County Abuse Prevention Center, The Children’s Bureau of Southern California, Orangewood Children’s Home and the RichStone Family Center.

Sponsorship opportunities are still available. The $5,000 Platinum sponsors receive player spots, an engraved plaque, program and course name recognition and an opportunity to display their corporate banner. For a $2,500 donation, the Gold sponsor will receive 4 player spots, an engraved plaque, program and course name recognition. A $1,500 Silver donation gets 2 player spots, program and course name recognition. Other sponsorships are also open: $500 Bronze sponsors get one player spot, program and course name recognition; the $250 Tee and Green Sponsor gets their name on a sign at the Tee AND on the green and program name recognition, while the $150 sponsor will have their name on a Tee OR the green and program name recognition. A foursome is only $1200 and individuals are invited to sign up at $300 per player.

Prizes will be awarded and opportunity prize winners will be posted in the Clubhouse. After the tournament, players are invited to mingle at a short cocktail party serving a light meal. Lunch is included. Prize contributions for awards and opportunity prizes are currently being solicited.
