Cal-Surance Associates Inc. a national insurance sales, service and support organization comprising many diverse and specialized programs, has acquired the Gail H. Murrell Insurance Agency.
Cal-Surance focuses on specialization and service quality to answer the specific needs of its clients using a highly focused, innovative and consultative operation.
Among the key assets of the acquisition is the Pizza Owners Program for independent businesses, which is available to members of the National Association of Pizza Operators only. As a result of this acquisition, Cal-Surance will serve as the exclusive program manager. The Travelers Insurance Company, a provider of financial products and service for more than 135 years, underwrites the program.
One of the exclusive features of the Pizza Owners Program is liability coverage for employee-owned automobiles used for delivery. The program also provides commercial umbrella liability and workers’ compensation, as well as coverage for business personal property, restaurant equipment, loss of business income, general liability, burglary, robbery, employee dishonesty, basic medical and employment practices liability.
“The acquisition of the Gail H. Murrell agency is an important event for Cal-Surance,” said Kenneth Masters, Cal-Surance president and chief executive officer. “It provides us with a new and unique program and establishes a new relationship for our company with The Travelers Insurance Company.”
Gail H. Murrell will remain with the company serving as a consultant. Cal-Surance does not anticipate any staffing changes with the acquisition.
