April 30, 2002

California-based IBA West announced the promotions of Ann Oliver to Vice President of Member Services and Constance Cohrs to Membership ServicesManager.

“Under Ann’s direction, IBA West has substantially improved service to members,” IBA West CEO Jerry O’Kane commented. “Ann and Connie have designed and implemented our membership services center, where members now receive immediate assistance from a staff trained to assist with a host of business issues. Marge Leone, Membership Services Rep completes the team. These promotions recognize the key role that these individuals play in the organization and the importance that IBA West places on providing members with excellent service.”

“Connie and Marge are dedicated to providing excellent service,” Oliver commented. “They both understand that when members call IBA West for assistance, they often already have exhausted the other resources available through their own offices. Our team enjoys helping with these tough problems and aren’t satisfied until they find a solution.”

Working from the Glendale office of IBA West, the membership services team also is responsible for membership development and providing service and assistance to local associations. In the latter role, Oliver also serves as executive director of Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers Association of Los Angeles and as Secretary-Treasurer of the Insurance Society of Southern California.

Licensed as a fire and casualty broker/agent, Oliver is on the Board of Directors of the Insuring the Children Foundation and is a member of the California Society of Association Executives and the American Society of Association Executives.

Cohrs has been membership services representative for IBA West and its predecessor, Western Association of Insurance Brokers, since 1988. She started her career in insurance with insurers including the Aetna C&S, St. Paul and Maryland Casualty.
