BCF Technology Launches Services Integration Platform

August 20, 2002

California-based BCF Technology, Inc., a provider of integration and aggregation software for the U.S. insurance and financial services markets, has launched its Transaction, Integration, Extraction, and Recovery (TIER) Platform.

The TIER Platform enables insurance carriers, agents, brokers, and financial institutions to integrate applications and platforms with business partners, while leveraging their existing technology investments, increasing operational efficiencies, and decreasing integration costs.

“Because TIER requires little or no IT resources from the targeted integration point, our customers are realizing dramatically reduced cost and time to market,” said Fred Covely, CEO of BCF. “TIER provides a new technology solution for integrating, and creating web services, and web applications. The product is also being used to extract and transform data to and from databases, XML stores, and other network based resources.”

Frederick Waite, President of BCF added, “I am extremely excited about the TIER Platform capabilities. We have created a platform that meets many of the integration and aggregation needs of the insurance and financial services sector. The insurance community has found it difficult to achieve a true Single Entry Multi-Carrier Interface (SEMCI) environment because of the complexity of disparate systems and the costs associated with integrating or rebuilding them. TIER has helped our customers to quickly achieve true SEMCI solutions without significant cost or excessive implementation timelines. TIER also allows our customers to add new products and services to their platform in a fraction of the normal implementation time.”
