Mutual of Enumclaw Offers Internet Auto Endorsement Processing through IBQ Systems

Wash.-based Mutual of Enumclaw announced that agents can process auto endorsements via the Internet using the IBQ Systems platform. The company’s agents currently use IBQ’s platform for rating and applying for both personal and commercial lines of business. Now agents can use the same platform to make changes to auto policies without having to call, fax or mail in paperwork.

Processing auto endorsements account for the majority of transactions for the company. Mutual of Enumclaw is expecting to see a significant drop in processing costs by allowing agents to directly enter changes to policies online rather than sending them to the company for data entry.

“Auto endorsements generate our largest number of transactions,” said John Willis, vice president of Marketing for Mutual of Enumclaw. “We are very excited to automate this process, since it will not only cut processing costs for our company and our agents, it will also make it easier for our agents to do business with us.”

To make changes to an existing auto policy, agents only need to enter a policy number and the platform returns all of the policy information from the Mutual of Enumclaw mainframe. Agents can make any changes needed, and they can also do “what if” analysis to see the impact on the rates, before uploading the policy to the company.

“Both the company and the agent win with this new capability,” said Bruce Hopkins, vice president of Business Development for IBQ Systems. “Agents spend a great deal of time processing changes to policies, when you add up the time to speak with the policy holder, fill out the paperwork and mail it to the company. This system enables the agent to make changes immediately with just a few keystrokes.”
