Alliance Supports Schwarzenegger’s Reforms

The leadership of the American Agents Alliance is urging all Californians to join Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s campaign to reform the state’s ailing workers’ compensation market. Members of the organization are already collecting signatures on petitions urging legislators to pass the Governor’s reform plan, and the Alliance has asked its entire membership not only to sign individual petitions, but to distribute them to customers, family and friends.

“The workers’ compensation crisis we have been battling for a number of years now must be resolved for the good of all Californians,” said Alliance President David Nielson. “The lack of accessibility to this valuable coverage hurts employers and employees alike. Many businesses have already closed their doors because of unaffordable premiums, and more are sure to follow unless rates come down and companies return to the market.”

Nielson, who is a principal at Northern California-based NBI Insurance Services, added “the Alliance is proud to stand with Governor Schwarzenegger in support of his efforts to reform the workers’ compensation market and bring economic prosperity – for entrepreneurs and consumers – back to our state.”

The Alliance said that the time to become proactively involved in Governor Schwarzenegger’s workers’ compensation efforts is quickly running out, and encouraged all to visit the Committee for Workers’ Compensation Reform and Accountability’s Web site at www.reformworkerscomp.com for more information on the campaign and how they can help.
