Meraz Joins American Agents Alliance

May 19, 2004

The American Agents Alliance announced the hiring of Ricardo Meraz as its new sales and marketing manager. Meraz comes to the Alliance after graduating from Cal State San Bernardino with a bachelors in Business Administration. He is currently working on his MBA in Marketing Management at CSSB.

Meraz brings a vast knowledge of sales and marketing to the association, and is eager to apply his experience to developing a broader member base for the Alliance. He is fluent in Spanish and the Alliance leadership characterizes the San Bernardino resident as “a big asset to the Alliance and our members.”

“Ricardo is an impressive young man who is clearly excited about this new opportunity,” said Executive Director Lorelle Kitzmiller. “After sifting through numerous candidates, I believe we have found an excellent fit for the Alliance. In just the first few days he has been here, he has been calling members to get a feel for the Alliance and see how our association can serve them even better. He is especially eager to get ‘on the road’ and show future Alliance members how we can help their businesses grow and prosper.”

Meraz is absorbing the intricacies of the independent insurance agency business, with help from Alliance members like Board of Governors member Joe Jimenez, in whose office he spent a full day observing and asking questions. He is working on his fire & casualty insurance license and said he is looking forward to meeting with current Alliance members, as well as welcoming new members to the association.

“I am happy to be with the Alliance and am looking forward to assisting our members in any way I can,” said Meraz. “I believe we offer valuable services for independent insurance agents and brokers,
especially those who are just getting started in the business, and I am anxious to show off the value of an Alliance membership.”
