Everest National Insurance Company announced it has been writing California workers’ compensation business on a direct retail business since October 2003 from its Western Regional Office in Orange, California.
During its first year the office focused on accounts greater than $250,000 for a very limited retail agency plant. As the operation has matured and its premium base has become a significant share of Everest National’s California writings, the Western Regional Office has recently expanded its agency plant while reducing the premium eligibility threshold to as low as $20,000. The combination of competitive workers’ compensation products, high quality service, broad class eligibility, availability of other commercial lines products, and broad geographic appetite provides the appointed retail agency plant with a significant opportunity for continuing growth and diversification.
A second component of Everest National’s California market presence is its relationships with specialized program administrators. Everest National has enjoyed a long-term relationship with Landscape Contractors Insurance Services, which exclusively markets Everest National’s workers’ compensation and commercial products and services for members of the California Landscape Contractors Association.
Everest National also provides workers’ compensation and commercial products and services to security firms, sprinkler/alarm installation contractors and related industries through All Risks, Ltd. Everest National expects to continue to expand its market presence for premier markets with unique industry, association or distribution characteristics.
