I find all of these previous comments interesting considering no one has done their homework on the subject. In 2003 the Califonia Workman’s Comp. Insurance Fund posted 15.287 billion dollars in assets. There are very few fraud cases of injured workers and most of them are state employees. The rest of us really are injured and need our doctors and quality medical care so we can get back to work. I hope the past commentors begin to take a look at the truth rather than base their comments on their imaginations.

Based on several other sources, this appears to be an organization created by the CAAA so that they could file suit against the Dep’t of Industrial Relations to bring down or delay the implementation of the new PD schedule.

Seems that all of the reforms that are trying to be implemented will cut into the pocketbook of the liars…I mean lawyers. And you know what happens when that happens…they get really cranky!

As if the courts weren’t clogged enough already, we now have a sick/injured workers “union” of which not one member probably ever owned a business or hired an employee, and had to pay WC Ins. Premiums.

along with a whole lot of other psuedo-government bureaucracies.

It’s time to separate our government from scumbag attorney rule.

I find it very interesting that the choice of name is “VOTERSinjuredatwork”. Are they trying to mount a rebuttal to the Governors “taking it to the people”? or is it subtle nudge to the legislature of “the clout at the ballot box”.

When protesting is so high against reforms that keeps jobs in California, I wonder to whom they will protest when the employers leave the state and take their jobs with them…

Another interesting tidbit since SB899 reform, I am not hearing ads on television urging those who have been injured at work to call 1 800 the law… you have rights!!
Could it be the reforms are having a positive impact. ( I still hear the pitch if you were injured in a automobile accident…

I urge the legislature and the Governor to press on for more reform and equity.

The only reason why the CAAA is doing this is because they have not won on the MPN issue and now have to try another venue, the PD schedule. Let them try. It’s not going to work. People, Employers, and Legislators have had enough for a very long time. The legislator’s and Govenor now need to focus on California’s budget problem. The CSAA needs to move on.

It is so very difficult to not wish a Work Comp case on those who have never been a victim of the system, or have had their lifestyle dramatically changed because they or a spouse have lost everything while the Insurance Companies invent any way to avoid paying on a PROVEN and ACCEPTED Work Injury Claim. I know firsthand that the doctors doing Utilization Review for the Work Comp Insurers earn at least 50% more working on denying treatments than the treating MDs in the trenches who are seeing the Injured Patients face to face. Granted, there ARE treating physicians who abuse and overuse the system and are being weaned out.
So, who is governing the Insurance Companies, Gov. Schwarzenegger? They are BY FAR the entity coming out on the rosy end of this deal.
