This bill was just another bad idea by a bad politician! Good to see that most legislators saw what a lousy bill this was. I’ve lost respect for Mr. Garamendi — seems he’s nothing more than a politician looking towards forward to the next gubernatorial election. Our industry and the CA DOI deserves a better leader and/or watchdog than this man.
What a piece of garbage. This guy thinks he get get money from a rock. I’m sure he’d pitch a fit if the bill went through, and then the increase was passed on to policyholders.
Garamendi and many other politicians (and voters!) have trouble distinguishing between their own posessions and the possessions of others. This outrageous bill would confiscate the property of insurers and give it to people who vote for Garamendi. That seems too much even for California.

Thank God I do business in VA
