Interesting article regarding the New Holland TV 140 tractor fire and successful recovery.I am an adjuster up in Saskatchewan and deal with many fires. My brother also is an investigator/machinery appraiser and we had 16 9030 NH Bi-Directional Tractor fires that resulted in total losses in the past 5 years.Do any of you that subscribe to this site had any experience on these units.I also just received a claim for a total loss fire to a John Deere 9530 2010 model(100 hrs) four wheel drive thatburnt to the ground.Started at the exhaust.John Deere has had some “updates” but wont say much.Any one out there had any new models burn down.Sure would appreciate any response from other claims people out there.

Jim, Just yesterday May 30th 2011 my father in law parked his 2010 New Holland T5060 4×4 with enclosed cab tractor next to his garage. After being parked for aproximatly 15 minutes the tractor was found to be totally engulfed in flames and completely burned before the local fire company was able to extinguish the blaze. My question for you would be what has New Holland done if anything for the owners of these tractors? I understand that a represenetive from New Holland Tractor will be making its way to my father in laws farm Wed June 1st 2011. Not sure what the outcome will be. To make matters worse the tractor was not insured for total loss. Please feel free to contact me on this matter. Thank you, Jason

I am looking at a 2012 NH T8 390 with less than 600 hours on it that caught fire and was completely destroyed, started near the exhaust and fuel tank.
