They look at things and give their gut feelings about a rate change instead of actually researching the facts. This bill will force them to do the research and look at the numbers. It is like a number of my clients tell me that they are not high risk (in a situation where they are high risk). I ask them if they have a degree in actuarial sciences and they change the subject. Too many so called experts think they can price insurance, but the only experts are the actuaries. It is time we leave the number to the experts and stop making this political or personal!

As most of you know, I am a conservative to the nth degree, but to be fair to the democrats out there, I don\’t think it is right to throw Garamendi in their face even if he is a democrat. Quite honestly, Garamendi could be a Green, Libertarian, it would not make any difference. He is just a complete moron who only wants to ascend to higher office. His attempt at changing the rating factors is only pandering to the urban areas where most people are and who might vote for him. He has no cognitive insurance sense whatsover.

CA DOI could not fight their way out of a wet paper bad, mainly because they are too weighted down by politics and consumer activists who know basically nothing about how insurance works.
