Zack Cooper & Associates Insurance Agency, Commerce, Calif., has recently merged with RA Higgins Insurance to form New Ireland Ltd., which is the exclusive representative of comprehensive asset protection plans designed for the property owner or for professional property management firms handling large portfolios of apartment and commercial properties.
Designated the Senior Pro Insurance Program, it can include hard-to-get coverage for environment-related health claims, including mold damage. The program includes a $225 million property limit per location with no shared limits. Coverages are provided by carriers rated “A” by A.M. Best.
Heading the division is Richard Higgins, a 30-year veteran of the building, real estate and insurance industries. An entrepreneur who ran a commercial real estate business prior to establishing an insurance practice, he is knowledgable in habitational and “wrap” coverages, as well as manuscripted program business for the real estate industry.
The Senior Pro Insurance program is designed to give property owners and management professionals tasked with handling all aspects of the business, including the purchase of insurance, the ability to better control these costs, said Higgins. The program integrates habitational and commercial real estate property and casualty coverages with high dollar limits to yield value for the premiums paid, he said.
The program is suitable for single and multiple locations and intrastate or interstate operations, and offers full replacement cost and actual incurred loss of income. Additionally, earthquake and flood coverage is available.
