I hope they did not parachute in and land right in the fire. You know their commercials show they do that.
I used to work for Farmers and I would not insure anything of value with them. The team they dispatched is probably one guy with a 1000 claims and the help-point is staffed with under paid, over worked, and incompetent fools brought in for close to minimum wage. Help Point is a big call center. They help red tape your claim for you.

I am glad Farmers is so quick to help; I hope they checked to make sure they actually have policyholders in the effected area. Seriously, this company is stupid enough to dispatch a cat team to a cat loss where they have no insureds, yet they’ll continue to understaff according to policies in force and/or loss history in other areas.

Hope the parachutes don’t catch fire; it could make getting back to ‘help point hq’ in OK City (don’t confuse this with the HQ for ‘superfriends’ or the Batcave, think more along the lines of ‘Get Smart’). It’s not like they have a gekko or anything, or even a caveman…just a big unexplained mystery…why do people continue to insure themselves with Farmers, a proud member of the Zurich family of Insurance Companies.

It is to bad you feel that way. We have had a really bad year in Texas for cat claims. Lots of tornados, hail, flooding. The claims service my clients have received from Farmers Help Point Cat Teams has been the best of any of the companies our agency represents. The service is the best we ever received from Farmers or Foremost in the past 25 years. Maybe you left to soon. maybe you just have a hard on for Farmers.

this is more proof of global warming, Montana is on fire. Do you know how far north Montana is? It is so far north, it sits on top of Wyoming; now that is north. And it is on fire. I am glad people want to help put Montana out, but I do not approve of the Farmers dropping of employees from planes. First of all, planes, other than my own which runs off of waste oil recycled from KFC franchises, cause CO2 to be dispersed into the air at high altitudes, causing it to mix into a volatile cocktail with ozone, which causes global warming. These planes are actually making Montana hotter, which makes it burn faster, causing even more warming, at least as far as ND, SD, WY, and ID are concerned, because they are right next to MT and they can feel the heat.

Have you ever seen heat and what it does to the air? When I was a little boy in Tennessee, I used to play on the blacktop parking lot, and we’d lay on our bellies in July and watch the heatwaves come off the surface. That stuff was hot. After Momma peeled us off and we got back from the hospital, I knew I had to do something about blacktop. But, what I mean to say is you can see heat, it makes the air go squiggly when you look thru it, and if you look thru airplane exhaust, you can see heat squiggles and soot and dirt and co2 and smog, and pollution, too. This is what Farmers could be doing that is making Montana burn.

Secondly, what if they forget to put parachutes on those poor Farmers guys? They’d fall right to the ground, even the intense heat would not be enough to make them buoyant, and even if the did, it would be like they were getting basted on a bbq, like a big one because Montana, where I have personally toured the wild fires, is a really big state, like Texas, where I thought I toured wildfires back in 2000 like I said at that debate, although it turned out I had only spoken to one of my people who had spoken to someone who spoke to a guy who had been in Texas while a fire was burning somewhere. But that is no excuse to make this fire worse, Farmers has a responsibility to be greener.

Maybe Farmers sucks??? I glad to hear they finally provided service to your clients, but Ralph makes a good point about Farmers: they understaff, they cancel after many simple claims, (hey, now that we put a new roof on that house, let’s cancel the HO policy so we don’t get another hail loss on that propery…let’s give that risk with the NEW ROOF to another insurance company…let’s switch to ACV policies on roofs more than 5 years old and see if customers notice…heh heh heh…let’s cancel our reinsurance in CA …ooops, Northridge earthquake…who ever heard of Northridge…in CA? go figure…they have earthquakes, too?).

So Farmers is ‘good’ because you had good service to your clients on ‘this loss season’…sounds just a self serving as this PR release from Farmers…Even a broken clock has the right time twice a day; just be thankful the clocked stopped at the right time for your customers; don’t count on the next loss happening 12 hours later, though. Good Luck.

I certainly did not mean anything bad about the Farmers agents. Like any other company they have some good and some bad. Frankly I feel really bad for anyone who is a Farmers agent. If you are able to succeed in this business selling such a crappy company than you must be a pretty good agent. Just so you know, I am not a disgruntled former employee. In fact they tried very hard to get me to stay and even took me out to lunch on my last day. None of the other companies I worked for bought my lunch on my last day. I have worked in claims for 3 other major insurance companies. All 3 of them are a million times better. I am now an independent agent and I am sad to say I actually have Foremost and Zurich policies in force as we speak. Bottom line…I worked in claims for 4 companies and now as an agent have seen claims handled by 15+ companies and all of them are far superior to Farmers.

I hear Farmer’s cat adjusters are forced to wear croc’s to the scene so they save money on their expense allowance.
