Susan Bitter Smith is absolutely right. There are many stupid things drivers do that can cause accidents and highway deaths. There are already laws on the books that forbid distracted driving. The City of Phoenix is far more interested in collecting revenue for driving infractions. The money taken in by the radar-cameras should be used to hire more cops who could bust people for all kinds of distracted driving, not just cell phone use. How many distracted drivers will be caught by the Big Brother cameras? I’d guess about zero.
