Perhaps he just saw a better opportunity at Farmers for whatever reason. Would that be in your realm of possibilities, Gustavo? Oh yeah, I forgot that you know everything there is to know about Farmers…

Didn’t 21st just get bought out?

Things went downhill for FIG when they merged with other companies — BA Tobacco and then Zurich. They lost the home town competitive edge. Now it’s all numbers and dividends overseas.

Read it for what it is, he was hired to change Farmers to a direct marketing company, just like 21st! Leading the industry in Agent hires the last 12 months hasn’t been enough, Farmers wants more. A lot more.

Leave because you could not measure up to the companie’s standards and were asked to leave or you QUIT because you did not have the fortitude(balls) to hang in there. I have children that have tried to give up before and we wouldn’t allow it because we don’t want that precedent with our children. GROW UP and quit ragging on Farmers- every time I see something on this site re: Farmers there is a lot of bitter stuff that is unsubstantiated.

The playbook that was written when Weinstein left has beed followed to a “T”. That plybook has been a copy of Old Hank G’s plan for AIG, and the successive “leaders” at Farmers are all focused on Bonuses. I made a prediction in 2005 whith the change of State Executive that the plan was to Go Direct and reduce the agent force. 1] Dumping agents after a spate of far reaching rate increases chases away their contract value and is smart:a)the agent leaves, the company pockets the commissions for a couple of years;{those that stay(clients and agents) do not feel too much strain because the increase in premium makes up forf the decrease in PIF}; b)you increase your efforts at throwing new agents at the wall counting on each new agent netting an average 15-30 new policies before they leave; c)Increase you advertising and public awareness making your proposal attractive to new agents; d)Now you GWP is increasing making your making your Combined Ratio attractive stimulant for another company to buy you out without that unsavory amount of everlooming Contract Value owned by your senior agents.2] A good amount of these individual who have been promoted have demonstrated questionable business and moral ethics in their rise to glory. Thay have been aware of agents and DMs: stealing from clients and the companies; churning their books to meet bonus goals{everytime an agent meets a big bonus their upline benefits exponentially}; and comingling funds. I will say by my experience that the most egregious of these agents are under 12 years in the business, and one way or another it has been with the awareness of their DMs, DMMs and State Execs.
