    A few thousand sensational claims “honored” does not excuse the sins of the industry.

    At least Farmers is out front feeding and watering the evacuees. Not just their customers claims but others customers too. They are spending their own bucks (reserves) to help people in need. This is what insurance is supposed to do.

    They don’t spend reserves on this. This would have to come off their bottomline or their marketing budget (more likely).

    A few bad apples should not dishonor an industry that honorably handles millions of claims.
