This appears to be a rate increase request only in Farmers Ins. Ex. and Fire Insurance Ex. only. All CA. homeowners policies are now written in Mid Century Ins Co. only.

Great. Now Farmers wants to raise rates for it’s “Superior Customer Service”. Isn’t that what a company is supposed to provide? How about a rebate for lousy customer service? Paul Hopkins gave an impassioned speech during the So Cal fires letting everyone within ear shot know that Farmers would not raise rates due to the fires, right. This is just more fuel for the liberal consumer groups to use against the industry and we keep giving it to them!

I say let them raise their rates as much as they want. Our agency is writing a ton of business from Farmers. The rate increase will just help Farmers keep losing business.

Thanks Farmers for the early X-mas gift.

Farmers has always been one of my best sales people. I can count on them to somehow alienate a customer (either thru high rates, poor service or both) just enough that they find my agency a refreshing alternative. Cheers to Zurich! Keep up the good work.

Wow is about all I can say. Please all of you Farmer’s defenders answer these questions for me as this defies gravity. Farmer’s HO is already one of the highest priced policy and underinsuring, how can it go higher? If this does not apply to Mid Century where they are placing no loss business, then why take the bad publicity? Superior service reward because they have improved? Finally, how low can you go Mr. Hopkins, or how many hoops will Zurich have go through to make them 3 billion this year. Oh yeh and Mr. Poizner they are showing you no respect!!!!
