Identifying the uninsured can do more than raise money when the state’s in trouble – it can also reduce the costs associated with uninsured drivers such as unpaid medical bills and loss of income for their victims.

The only question is whether this firm is the best one for the job or if the task should be subject to the bid process.

Yeah, every state that has mandatory insurance laws should be doing this, but it should be to enforce insurance requirements, not raise revenue. Maybe they can use all those red light cameras that are getting shut off all over the country.

If they set the cameras up here in CA they would explode – there’s still a ton of uninsured cars here and collecting all that data would cause them to blow up. LOL!!!

Now if they only had “illegal Alien” cameras! I’d bet deporting them would save a lot more than this crap.

    @ justsaying,

That’s exactly what this camera will turn into in NV. So I already know this isn’t going to happen. Also, is it only set for NV license plates? If not, this won’t go over to well with the tourists.

Any bets the ACLU is already circling the wagons?
