getting fired from an insurance job and going to another industry was the cure for depression, not the cause.

This guy is a deranged animal and should be put down. Too bad he didn’t suffer a fatal “accident” when the construction workers caught him. Instead, he’ll probably live off taxpayer money in a nice comfortable jail with all expenses paid. The next thing they’ll be doing for prisoners is sending them on vacation every year.

Have you ever been to a prison in California Reese? It’s not furnished with ‘comfortable jail cells.’ I’ll gladly use my tax dollars to lock this maniac up in a 7’x6′ cement room to keep him separated from society. It’s dirty, it’s loud, it’s cold, it’s scary and dangerous. No freedom, no privacy. I highly doubt he’ll be comfortable.
And to ‘put down’ a clearly mentally disturbed individual that’s tried to get help is just as barbaric as his actions were. And even so, putting him down would be letting him off easy, let the wolves have him.

I think the comments about punishment are moot. If he’s convicted and sent to prison for any length of time for shooting kids in a schoolyard, the “justice” system within the prison will decide his sentence.

Which might be worse than you think.
