WHEN THEY DO AWAY WITH “CREDIT SCORING SYSTEM” WHICH IS NOTHING BUT A CASH COW FOR THE AUTO INSURANCE INDUSTRY, THEN YOU CAN RAISE THE MIN. LIMITS BUT NOT TO THEN.

If our lawmaker’s thought that people didn’t buy auto liability insurance before, if this passes, wait to see how many more people won’t buy it. Don’t they still give free liability insurance to people on welfare in Hawaii? Maybe we should try that!!

Here the deal… 15/30/10 is not enough coverage when you are hit with this policy. As a owner of a large insurance brokerage in Las Vegas I have told my staff we will write a minimum coverage of 25/50/25 because in most cases it’s only a couple of more bucks a month to have. And when I say couple I mean couple, like 2 to 4 dollars a month. Time after time I here of this horror story about one of my clients getting hit with someone having the state minimum. 15 grand barely gets you to the hospital. If you are paying double for your insurance because you moved you might want to talk a broker about your insurance needs. As a broker we are able to shop 5 to 10 different companies. And if they are a good broker all the companies will be “A” rated. Raising your insurance does not cost a lot. A better idea is making all Nevada motorists carry uninsured/ underinsured coverage. This would help in the event that someone hits you with the state minimum. Nevada is one of the highest in the country when it comes to auto insurance. We have a very high auto theft rate, a high DUI accident ratio, a high fatality ratio and we are a very transient city. Just watch the morning news.
