Mark Clark, Lake Havasu city director of public works, said the $2.5 million awarded the community would support the Kiowa Drain project, pegged to cost about $750,000 to $1 million; the Pima Wash project; and Mockingbird Wash improvements, each at $500,000; and six or seven wash projects.

Kingman was awarded $855,000 and Bullhead City received $1.3 million for flood control.
