Although it doesn’t have a direct connection to this article, I recommend reading about the man for whom the National Park was named, Albert Gallatin. He was an amazing figure from our early Republic. He was a Senator from 1793-1794, Member of the House 1795-1801 and the 4th Treasury Secretary of the U.S. from 1801-1814. he helped plan the Lewis & Clark expedition.
