I attempted to understand how Google was changing its policies and found it obtuse at best. Moreover, I read that I could opt out of certain things. Tried to find where an how to opt out and didn’t have much luck there either. I use the Google search engine and Gmail. Have not been too unhappy with the advertising that they send along with these services, but not happy that I (an educated person) found it hard to understand what information they are collecting, how they are using it or how I can change various settings in the two services to minimize their effects.
