Am I missing something — the practices of the birthing center killed three babies and they suspend two midwives licenses, but allow the birthing center to remain open? This just feels wrong.

The midwives probably would have agreed to any amount. I doubt they have $5mm or any intention of paying.

This is what UNINSURED,RESPONSIBLE PARENTS are forced to utilize to bring their childeren into the world. Midwifes, in a facility that does not have adequate emergency equipment or capabilities. What’s the difference between this and giving birth in some HUT in some THIRD WORLD country? AMERICA continues to DEVOLVE to that of the THIRD WORLD, at least for those that work for minium wage or there about. If these parents were indigents, they could have just stopped into any EMERGENCY ROOM and given birth their, with all of the latest in birthing technology. But my guess is, these parents work hard for their meager wages and were trying their best to PAY for the (more affordable) midwife services because they didn’t have, couldn’t get, couldn’t afford REAL MATERNITY COVERAGE via HEALTH INSURANCE… That I am, almost, OmniSure of!

Too funny Jenilee! Jack does the same thing when he is at the doctors….checking evrhnteiyg out while I am freaking out and telling him to leave stuff alone! What a blessing though, to have some good laughs during a visit to the doctor!
