What a SCAM ! Taxpayers and Insurance Co’s are not paying these awards! Its a Lie ! The NFL is SELF Insured! They are trying to avoid taking care of the players for Greed and Profit- pure and simple !

This is outrageous. THe NFL players are compensated under the NFL’s own insurance. The player may player only a few games in California and then they file for ijuries during thier playing day in other states. I would do a complete audit of all NFL player who play for other teams outside the state to ensure they are paying thier fair share of taxes.

Simple solution: move NFL games out of California. Not a good solution, but it would certainly stop the benefits game-playing. I do wonder how an NFL player can receive WC benefits if they are still actively employed as a player…..

Taxpayer’s do not pay a dime. These bills are introduced by creeps who are on the NFL & NBA’s payroll. Greedy Billionaire owners just trying to make more Billions. They treat players like throw-away animals. Hopefully California legislators will do the right thing and put this bill in the trash heap where it belongs.

I played 5 years in the 70’s for the Bears. I played 7 games in Ca. and payed taxes, though small. Point is we were lied to about injuries back then that haunt us now. Shot up and given pills to get back on the field not knowing the extent of the injuries. We weren’t offered workman’s comp in Illinois. We are suing the billionaires for peanuts for health care basically. The state of California only loses court costs as I can tell, and they should pull that expense out of the suits or settlements. But thank God for us having a chance to do this through the great state of California!!
