    Our citizenry needs to quit awarding excessive damages. The $2 Mil difference in the two amounts is probably adequate to meet medical expense and increased cost of living that results from losing a limb. Insurance is meant to restore one’s financial position following a loss, not increase or improve it. The same should be true of negotiated settlements and jury awards.
