Opinion: Insurance Industry Changes to Follow Wicked Colorado Weather

    Most of the individuals I know out here in Boulder did not have flood insurance, and many of them are confused about why their homeowners insurance didn’t cover this incident…needless to say, most of these homes were not technically listed in a flood zone, so the owners probably didn’t have that conversation with their agent.

    I’ve seen some chatter about Farmer’s covering sewage backup up to the maximum for those impacted, but it’s going to be tough going for most, as the burden will fall to the homeowner (difficult to think about what that means for the owners of the 250 structures that were destroyed). In my old neighborhood they don’t even have consistent power yet.
