Caveat Emptor for those considering this offer.
Is this to replace the 1200 net agents lost last year?
Or help replace the 1.3 million policies net lost last year?
Help regain the footing lost on the marketplace? Down to #9 from #3 in market share.
Surely the “no better time” remark must be tongue in cheek considering the results.

This is East news? Last time I checked California was out west.

From a former Farmers agent, I say let’s do the FIG new agent math: if you want 500 agents to stick you’ll need to put about ten times that into the reserve agent program. Success rate was about 10% when I came on board. I lasted 3 years, of the 15 I went through career school with only 2 of us were left 2 years after the school in KC. Then I left a year after that and was not lucky/good enough to “run to daylight”.
But, it was a good start, now I’m a P&C underwriter and enjoy it!

Well, they found the right man to head the agency force. Hey Brownie…..tell them the one about George Washington and Valley Forge. That story was the one that made Wa agents fall in line…..wasn’t it?

You gotta love how Farmers lies through their teeth when the say “agency owners”. The fact are, the Farmers agent does not own the agency. Their blood, sweat and tears, and thousands of dollars from their own pockets, build the agency. Then Farmers, without cause, can and many times has “stolen” the book of business and handed it off to a new agent. Shame on you Farmers for hinting at the very idea of your new fresh meat agents owning anything.
