My 2004 Buick Regal had a faulty ignition switch. When I went on line under this topic and learned that many others had experienced this same problem, I took my car to the Buick dealership in this area (who now is out of business). I also called Buick who took the call very seriously and I received several calls from Buick around the country; they also communicated directly with the dealership until the problem was fixed. I had told Buick that I refused to drive the car anymore until it was fixed because the car had “died” suddenly at freeway speeds, and I was terrified. And yet, GM says they are NOT recalling this model. What gives? I’m not convinced the problem with my car is over.
