I found:
* The SUV was rented by a company employee for work purposes. Hope they had HNO Auto coverage. And I guess this is why the driver himself wasn’t sued.
* Police said the victim ‘failed to yield the right-of-way…’.
* Evidence showed the driver was doing 65 in a 45, which was just about to change to 25.
* The suit alleged overgrown vegetation, an opportunity for excess speed, and poor signage in the area, which is why the City was sued.

my most common criticism of their stories is their failure to explain these things. I would think it was in “journalism 101” but the reporter apparently missed class the day they covered that topic.
