I wish the author of stories that use headlines like this one would learn their geography and discover there a city in Oregon named Oregon City, just like there is one named Salem.
and the same goes for many other states. using the name of the state to describe a city in that state should be used cautiously if the state has a city with the state name. and numerous states besides Oregon do.
