This is not stringent enough – if NASA says we are going to run out of water in a year we ned to water at the most one day a week if at all. This is too late coming!

Right Jerry! And why you are saying this thousands of acres in the central valley are now being planted with more almond, pistachio, and walnut trees. Rice farmers in the north are selling their water off to SoCal instead of planting, and the biggest joke of all is our continued release of water down the Merced, San Joaquin, and Tuolumne Rivers for fish! Want to get serious? Then tell the farmers to quit putting trees into the ground and drilling 600+ foot wells, tell the Feds we need to curtail water for fish, and the biggest thing you can do, stop building more homes that require more water for those buying them!!

And outlaw private water sales of large amounts of water, yes that means you, Oprah ! if you choose to live in Cali, you have to be part of the solution, not the problem. Personally, I don’t think the long-term future of Cali is good at all, and the rest of the planet is not far behind. Everyone yaks about climate change but we are all too selfish to make the sacrifices needed to avoid it.
The Sixth Mass Extinction marches on….
