“Kiss my ash” is not a good defense. But if it hadn’t been for the label, plaintiff would never have known.

Should be a large Morticians Malpractice Claim, especially in sue happy Oregon. I had a Funeral Home years ago take a family’s mother to be cremated. Unfortunately, they didn’t take the ladies rings off before the procedure. Family sued and of course, the claim was large because they said the rings were very valuable in addition to sentimental value.

I fully agree that the plaintiff is entitled to compensation but $2.5M is just nuts. Had they killed her father that amount would be crazy, but providing the wrong ashes come on!!! On top of that she was preparing to spread the ashes so it is not like she planned to place them in a crypt so that she could visit the grave. Sometimes I just hate this lawsuit crazy world.

1,000,000x this. This litigious society we live in is ridiculous.

As the former Sec. of State would say, “What difference does it make?”
