You assume the risk of being hit by a car if you stand in the middle of the freeway.

I may be reading into this, but I don’t think it is fair to classify being a democrat as a permanent disability.
She might as well sue President Trump too for winning.

This is a ridiculous suit. Perhaps the driver has some responsibility, but not the rest.

Agreed, except for the driver being responsible. You go out on a freeway and try to block traffic, what do you expect will happen? This is like jumping off a bridge then turning around and suing the contractor who built the bridge, the design firm, and the state. So stupid.

I wonder why her attorney didn’t also sue the Electoral College electors for casting their votes? Plenty more money there.

“The protest spilled onto Interstate 5…” A protest is not a load of rubber ducks or gravel that can “spill” without volition. These people chose to get onto a freeway. It’s hard to see where the city or university has any responsibility for people making breathtakingly poor, dangerous decisions. Make stupid choices, win stupid prizes.

    So take a letter, Maria
    Address it to yourself
    You’re the one responsible
for the issues with your health

    – with apologies to Tom Jones

Suing others for one’s stupidity…in California?.. it’s not unusual.

Actually, I agree. The University does share some of the responsibility, though I’m not sure how I would feel about someone suing based on it. It would certainly make an example out of these Universities to stop encouraging crap or it will come back to bite them.

This all comes back to a quote from Reagan:

And I’m sure some of you have heard it before. Reagan was a very strong leader.

When you tell a bunch of kids they can go protest in the streets, as Berkeley and other CA Universities do basically encourage, and you can then blame anyone else for the violence done to you when you go there with intent to cause a ruckus, it’s a recipe for disaster. These kids are clearly impressionable and our leaders shouldn’t be leading them this way. And yes, early 20’s is a kid to me. They are just as much to blame for ANTIFA.

So the conservatives who were defending the Nazi who ran over protesters, and then denied it, are again defending running over protesters, if they are “in the way.”
