This is too long coming, but better late than never. Workers comp insurance and the employers who pay dearly for it have been far too easy marks for scammers for decades, and with precious little reform against abuse. DIR’s cleanup efforts must go much farther than simply picking the low hanging fruit of the 227 med providers. DIR now needs to double-down and go after the law licenses of those who steered the “injured” clients to the medical providers in the first place. And at the same time prosecute the “patients” who allow themselves be used by the med providers and lawyers in defrauding us all.
