      I agree with Agent but would say it more kindly.
      First off, no University in this day and age would put themselves out there as having “a reputation for being “unwelcoming” to students of color, female students, nonheterosexual students and students with disabilities.” That’s just ridiculous. Next, what kind of horrible work stress can an assistant instructor have that would cause him to have to take a leave. Again, to me, this points to “easy money” behavior. The school hired someone to show up everyday and assist the teacher. He couldn’t do it.
      I hope the school sues him and his lawyer for defamation.

        Exactly. My first thought when reading “medical leave because of work-related stress” regarding an assistant professor (as Lake refers to himself on his website) at a small Christian university was “Wait. What?”.

        It’s certainly possible, but his suit’s characterization of the university is so encompassing in its damnation it makes we wonder whether he’s truly a whiste-blower or just a candy-ass, cash-grabbing sleazebag.
