Tow company do not impound vehicle The Property owner/manager, City Police agency’s, County Police and or State Patrol have to authorize by signature on a form and call the tow company to tow any vehicle parked on the city streets or on private property.

It’s a horrible thing to attack Tow company’s when these hard working men and women risk their lives by going out on the freeway to change your tires or bring you fuel or tow you off of the freeway and to a safe place. On average 1 driver every 6 days is killed on state highways just doing his job all the while vehicles fly by them at freeway speeds. No matter the weather or time of day. And Tow drivers are they ones called to clear accidents and disabled vehicles of the freeways often being held up by drivers that ignore their lights.
And how did anyone know this was a servicemen’s vehicle and why didn’t he park on the base?????? Free parking for DAYS
There are many nefarious tow companies that will randomly tow cars saying they were illegally parked. A friend of mine took a cell photo of us next to his new car that was clearly legally parked. Went to court and we went as witnesses also. We let the tow truck driver hang himself insisting the car was parked in the red. Cell photo showed date and time a little over an hour before being towed. Judge told towing company to reimburse for impound, gas and time he took off work to retrieve and fined the tow truck driver and company. He later did a review of this towing service and their towing license was revoked.
