If we build more reservoirs it will impact some other fish or invertebrate that is being protected. If the sierra club really wants to avoid doing fire breaks then how about they go out and fight these fires. Although I agree defensible space will help it is certainly not the best practice to protecting our forests.
Might be wise to build some reservoirs to hold all the snow melt from the Sierra’s instead of letting the water flow directly to the Pacific ocean.
