They need to look at the commercial auto insurance industry too. The insurance industry and state regulations are killing the small owner-operators.

These restrictions to free competition hurt most consumers in the long run. The rules might make sense if private passenger auto insurance were run as a monopolistic market, but in a free market with many choices, customers can choose the companies that provide them the best coverage at the lowest rate. If teachers are generally better drivers than the overall population, why should they have to pay higher rates to subsidize other drivers? If young women are generally better drivers should they have to subsidize young men?

So it’s time to renew clean record 50% increase for no reason other than renewal time.
Shopping all the top companies with the exact information resulted in 8 quotes within $55. of each other. I see the price fixing from years ago is back in play. This commission was VOTED in to control this type of behavior, and insure consumers aren’t being roped off by unethical corporate greed!!

Can you also look into why insurance companies increased rates by 62% for policy holders that have not had accidents while holding the policy since 2013???
