The fine went straight into Washington State coffers for “general services”–as if our taxes were not enough.
Nothing went to the parties who actually suffered the damage–other than perhaps the warm & fuzzy feeling their pain was used by regulators to further fatten the bureaucracy. Would someone please explain how this is a just outcome?
