Doctors, Real Estate Agents, Insurance Agents and other professionals are exempt from this new independent contractor law. It looks like they are claiming this is discriminatory and this may be enough to win without putting it on the ballot. As a resident of California who is established here and bought my my home long ago (when it was more affordable) in the most expensive area of the state, I don’t need to leave because of affordability is not an issue for me. But I will eventually leave due to the insanity of our elected officials.

Sorry for your problem with the most dysfunctional state in the Union.

Just to set the record straight, the long time residents, especially those in the suburbs did not cause these problems. California used to be just fine, however as Silicon Valley grew and people from other states and countries starting moving here, we got well meaning and book smart people, but common sense stupid people. They are amazing at doing well in school and reading instructions, they are not that good in thinking for themselves. So an teacher or politician can say something and they will take it at it’s work rather than analyzing if it makes sense. Emotions and drama rule over past history. with these people. I have no doubt we have been hurt by voter fraud as well.

Once again, the conservative response that ignores things like fact and reality. Sure, most dysfunctional state. That pays for every other state to you know, exist. Want to tell me how much money your state generates bud? Oh wait, you don’t ever actually provide information or credible facts, just snide rude comments attacking the left. You’re boring, Agent.

Jon – You are trying to combine two unrelated topics. The bizarre politics in California cannot be excused because “they give the federal government lots of taxes”.

Can’t they? This country runs on money. The republican party runs on money. The only time that the right likes to forget or downplay that fact is when it’s brought up that the two most liberal states actually contribute the most to this country. While the republicans try to strip away the amount of taxes the rich have to pay, the only income coming to the country from taxes is from California and New York. You don’t like how CA does things? Move to Mississippi.

It’s an important snapshot, how they faired coming out of the recession is a lot more important than how they fair when the whole country is doing well, but I could pull up more on that.

Another snap shot. Seeing a trend? 4 red leaning states, one purple, the best run. 4 blue states, one purple, worst run.

            And then we have this.

CA, again, doing poorly, but Eastern blue states doing abysmal, 4 of the 5 worst being highly liberal states, 4 of the top 5 being highly conservative states.

Another snap shot. But us conservatives don’t use facts.

And then my original post, not offensive, shortened:

How much cash a state brings in does not mean it a state cannot have poor laws, unrelated to taxation. That’s as simple I can make it.

          Note the top states…
